George Lucas in Love: The inspiration for Star Wars
January 28, 2008
No, I did not write this I just found it to be great. It’s a short film about one of my heroes George Lucas and has a great message write what you know.
As far as my plan to give sample writings it has had a snag fu. Because when I put it in the blog the format looks like crap, so I have plan “B” which will put up my one internet show (series) that I have permission to put up and give my two cents on it. Because not everything you plan or write will be on the final product and that makes me sad. But it is still a great honor. As far as other sample writings, I’m just going to upload them as PDFs. It will make it hard to copy them too, but who the hell would?
Anyways…
Enjoy.
“I AM OVER”
Writing on the Internet? Who does that?
January 28, 2008
I told people I respect that make a living in writing about my plan to put a few scenes on my blog like what movies now do on the internet by giving the first five minutes of the movie for free. Or like when someone is on a late night talk show and give a few scenes away.
They said I was crazy. Let me rephrase that they said I was fucking Nuts and the haters would eat me alive. And I have to agree to a point, I mean as a wanta-be writer have you ever given what you have written to another hater aka wanta-be writer they bully you to read it, they are angry you wrote something and before they read sentence one they hate it. Well what I’m about to do (I know I’m not the first) is going to give it away to the ultimate haters called the internet.
I want some criticism but let me get some comments out of the way, so the haters don’t have to post them, as if I didn’t know.
- I’m not a good writer; I just love to do it.
- I confuse “There and Their” all the time. I know I’m an idiot. The worst part of that last statement is I went to college for 6-8 years.
- My spelling and grammar suck.
- And my favorite comment “Kill Yourself”. I’m working on it by ignoring doctors, I fear them but that’s for another blog another time.
- I know I write about a lot of stuff and some of it is sick and demented to other people. But as a writer (I feel guilty every time, I use that word) I believe its ok to play pretend and write about something that isn’t normal.
- Please don’t blame the schools I went to for sucking. And don’t you dare give them credit for anything you think is good.
- “Just give up dude” It’s in my blood to try everything and it is the hardest thing in the world for me to give up on something. It’s my blessing and my curse.
Just like my blog on web designers I will add more as time goes by.
My goal of this blog: Have someone way more important than me take notice, entertain people, convert some haters to lovers, and of course have fun.
My goal for my writing: To make a living at what I love.
As of blog my status as a writer: I do not make a full time living yet, I have been paid to write and read. I’ve been published and some of my writings have made the smallest of screens the internet. I have eaten a ton of free dinners because of my so-called craft.
Thank you and good day
“I am Over”
PS: I’m thinking of ending all my blogs with “I am Over” like I end most of my radio shows.
PPS: Just like my voicemail messages this blog should have ended already.
