Florida’s #1 Promotion is back - ACW Returns!!!!

Nearly 5 years ago ACW was started. It was shut down a little over a year ago and now it is back. ACW was a group of local wrestlers who were outcasts who were tired of scumbag promoters. These promoters would take credit for all things good and put blame on anyone if they failed, Sound familiar boys. ACW was a place were that was not the case the inmates ran the asylum.

ACW started off slow but no one would ever believe in less than a year the were running weekly at 2 different venues plus Saturday shows on the other side of the state and were being viewed by more fans than any other promotion. That is not even including the hundred’s of thousands watching on combat-tv.com.

So the stage has been set: October 11th 2008 - The JCC arena, 9841 Scenic Dr. Port Richey, Florida

Signed already: Joshua Masters & Fetish, Eddie Taurus & George Martell, David Mercury, Nick Fame, dany only, Shane Swyft, Ralph Mosca, The Power Company Twins & More too be announced…

ACW cant wait to see all of our fans (Friends) and too hear that magical chant ACW! ACW! ACW!

Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup Donations and Auction Items for Charity

We are looking for whatever items you can donate to the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup for raffle. We will be doing silent auctions, along with auctions online to benefit the below charities. We appreciate whatever you can donate to this great cause.

In November, 2002 independent wrestling phenomenon Jeff Peterson lost his long battle with cancer. May 16-17, 2003 saw the beginning of the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, a sixteen competitor tournament in honor of the fallen star. Each year since the event has grown to international levels. Previous winners of this prestigious tournament are “Reckless Youth” Tom Carter, Justice, Chris Sabin, Milano Collection AT and Chris Hero.

This years Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup will be a fundraiser with ALL proceeds going to little boy named Devin Deschaine. Devin is a 2 yr old Port Richey boy with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. His form of Cancer is one of the most rare, & aggressive pediatric cancers. Only about 600 kids in the USA will be diagnosed with Neuroblastoma each year. About 70% of them will NOT survive. Devin is very close to our hearts & there is no other option for him but to SURVIVE. He’s a born fighter. He was a little fighter long before he was diagnosed. Neuroblastoma shouldn’t be any different. He just needs a little help with this fight.

The event is so huge it is taking place two nights in a row:
Friday, September 26, 2008
The New Lakes in Regency Park Civic Center
8330 Civic Drive - Port Richey, FL 34668
Doors Open 7:00 PM - Bell Time 8:00 PM

She is single & needs help getting the bills paid during his treatment. Not to mention that he has a few procedures coming up that his insurance won’t cover. This family needs our help! Due to his cancer being so rare the media is following him closely. Devin has been on Bay News 9. He is also expected to be on the Today show in the near future.

What is Professional Catch Wrestling?
Catch wrestling is arguably the father of modern grappling, professional wrestling, mixed martial arts and no-holds-barred competition. Catch wrestling’s origins lie in a variety of styles, most notably the regional wrestling styles of Europe, particularly the British Isles and Asia. The term is sometimes used in a restricted sense to refer only to the style of professional wrestling as practiced in United States carnivals just before and after 1900. Under this stricter definition, “catch wrestling” is one of many styles of professional wrestling, specifically as practiced in carnivals and at public exhibitions from after the American Civil War until the Great Depression.

Where Does Catch Wrestling come from?
Rough and tumble fighting was the original American no holds barred underground hybrid “sport” that had but one rule - you win by knocking the man out or making him say “enough.” All techniques were allowed. Later when the Lancashire wrestling style made it to the US and was blended with the “rough and tumble” mentality, and the gambling involved, the very aggressive American catch-as-catch-can style of wrestling emerged and created some of the most outstanding grapplers in the word. Much of today’s MMA fighting concepts can be traced to these early “shooters.”

What should I expect from a Professional Catch Wrestling show?
If your looking for a cartoon, you may want to stay home. This is sport, in it’s purist form. Two men, no equipment, striving to defeat one another. The Sport of Kings. We promise action, violence, and excitement in a format most have never seen before. Imagine Mixed Martial Arts using the personalities you’ve come to expect from Professional Wrestling. Imagine Professional Wrestling, but with more contact… more realism.. more competitiveness. If you like hearing people bitch, moan, whine and complain… you may want to stay home. If you enjoy seeing someone get their head knocked off… this may be the show for you.

The Kocosports.com staff is a serious and educated crowd, we know combat sports like the back of our hands, but we also take the time to pursue other interests.

For example, did you know Dave, Gerry, James and Scott all have PhD’s in Boobie-ology?

“Breasts are truly fantastic things” Dave told us, “I’ve been studying them for years, they are the givers of nutrition and sustenance, it’s hard to believe that I once spent a full six months of my life drinking nothing but breast milk. I lost a great deal of weight during that year of college.”

But I digress, the point is, we decided to combine our interests of combat sports and boobs to bring you a list of the “25 Best Breasts in Wrestling”
